From Initial Contact to Go live in 7 weeks

This UK based scale-up went from initial contact with InCloud Solutions to go live in 7 weeks – total!

This is how they did it…

This fast growing company wanted a solution to replace their legacy system, Xero. They did their research online and identified InCloud Solutions as the company they were interested in talking to about delivering SAP’s cloud based ERP for fast growing companies, Business ByDesign.

They discovered that InCloud Solutions have a rapid fast start model called InCloud Express Financials which was able to deliver fixed functionality straight out of the box in super fast time and for a fixed cost. They were still getting the SAP Business ByDesign solution they wanted, but in a basic “vanilla” format that meant it was going to be quick.

Based on this model it was then 4 weeks from their first sit down with the implementation team to Go Live

The project is based on phases, so this particular company is still working with InCloud Solutions on other projects – one of which is to implement Cloud ERP for manufacturing.

New ways of selecting technology in the Digital World

This is typical of the new world we live in where companies do their own research online before engagement.  With a tight deadline and a planned go-live date we were able to work back from that date and create the necessary urgency to meet all the deadlines.

InCloud Solutions were quick to react to initial interest, schedule demonstrations to the company’s exact needs while also maintaining integrity and advising of potential limitations.

Adopt/Adapt – Out of the Box means speed

We advised of the need to adopt out of the box processes rather than adapt current ones and they were happy to go with best practices and out of the box processes to ensure that they had a quick implementation.

The customer went live very quickly because of the following:

  • Training of Key users, who rolled out the training to end-users internally, as and when required (eg. Projects loaded manually during the month rather than migrated for Go live).
  • “Phased” go live, with essential functionalities on day 1 and the rest deployed during the first month.
  • Using the Finance Express as a basis for all standard business processes and configuration.
